SedaniaTravelneeds2u Launch Global Telco Prepaid Sim Card for the Philippines Market
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb. 16 /Bernama-AsiaNet/ --

SedaniaTravelneeds2u launched its Global Starter Pack Program (GSP) in the
Philippines recently marking another step in its bid to equip more than two
billion air travelers annually with GSP. The GSP is distributed via 59,000
IATA agents operating in more than 200 countries or via online booking portal
www.travelneeds2u.com.

GSP is basically a telecommunications company (Telco) prepaid SIM card of
the country that travelers are traveling to. International travelers can avoid
the hassle of having to purchase a local SIM card when they arrive in a foreign
country since they can buy one before departure.

"Effective from February 16, travelers can purchase GSP at any authorized
travel agent in the Philippines or via our online booking portal and start to
experience this innovative, convenient and hassle-free service to have in
advance the local Telco’s SIM card of the destination country" said
SedaniaTravelneeds2U. Travelers could enjoy competitive rates as a cheaper
alternative to roaming charges.

A traveler will be issued with a GSP voucher once the purchase of GSP is
made. This GSP voucher is to be redeemed for a SIM card at the chosen
destination airport or at any other selected collection points. Travelers who
purchase the GSP can start using it once it is activated without the need to go
through the normal tedious registration process. They can also enjoy all the
value added services that come with the starter pack.

For travel agencies, GSP brings a new income stream to replace the loss in
revenue from the zero-commission move from many airlines recently. It will
also bring additional marketing proposition to attract more customers through
creative marketing and travel related product offerings, it said.

For as low as US$10, travelers around the world can purchase the GSP of a
Telco from countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia and Singapore. Other
countries like Vietnam, Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand and Saudi Arabia will be
joining the program soon and more are in the pipeline, it added.

The company also said that its strategic partnership with Abacus
Distribution Systems (Philippines) Inc. will allow travel agents to enjoy a
convenient, innovative and cost effective way of selling as they can use the
same Abacus Whiz platform used for selling tickets to sell the GSP.

It will be a boost to the travel and tourism industry as well as
telecommunications companies. Hopefully, more travel agents will register as
GSP sellers, the company said. Further information can be obtain via email:
