This training session followed the Alcan brand launch of (Shi De He Jin(TM)), the Chinese name for STABILOY(R), held at the EPower Tradeshow in April. "By conducting the STABILOY(R) training course, Alcan Cable's objective is to strengthen the relationships between the electrical designers and experts in the trade by facilitating the direct exchange of ideas and solutions to the challenges they encounter in electrical design and installation," said Ivan Salamin, General manager, Alcan (Tianjin) Alloy Products Company. For the training session, Alcan Cable invited Chen Kun, a retired cable expert from the Shanghai Electric Cable Research Institute, and Professor Hong Yuanyi, the famous expert in building electrical design, to give the lectures. The main focus of the course addressed the applications for using aluminum alloy cable and provided solutions to problems encountered by designers, including wire selection. In addition, the speakers addressed the trends in China's wire and cable industry, China's macro policies on energy conservation and sustainability in building construction, and introduced environmental design concepts used in other countries.
