FENGCHENG, China

FENGCHENG, China, June 21, 2024 /Xinhua-AsiaNet/–

Human civilisation flourished in Baimazhai, where grey bricks and old lanes make up the red village. Located in Fengcheng City, Jiangxi Province, Baimazhai Ancient Village was founded in the Southern Song Dynasty. With more than a hundred ancient buildings of Ming and Qing Dynasties, Baimazhai Ancient Village was included in the second batch of Chinese traditional villages list in 2013. It is famous for its unique tablet culture and ancient buildings of the Ming and Qing Dynasties full of Jiangnan style.

Baimazhai in early summer is as beautiful as ink paintings. In recent years, the local government has made greater efforts to repair the traditional village relics and upgrade the infrastructure. It has also made rational use of the old buildings, relying on the cultural symbol (IP) of Baimazhai Ancient Village to develop the “one-day agricultural tourism” route.

State Grid Jiangxi Power has increased its support for traditional ancient villages and rural culture and tourism, and has upgraded its power facilities according to the development plan. Based on the distribution of ancient buildings, Jiangxi Power carried out unified planning and improvement of the power lines. Jiangxi Power completed the 10 KV power lines upgrade for Lishan, Baima, and organised power supply staff to carry out a comprehensive inspection of the hidden dangers in ancient residential buildings, including power lines, switches, sockets, etc., and promptly dealt with the problems of aging switches, loose sockets and so on. Jiangxi Power fully served the development of ancient villages, so that the traditional villages can glow with a new luster.
