Rushan, Shandong : Mid-Autumn Festival Feast Celebrates Neighborhood Bonds

To celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, a community event titled “Community Neighborhood Festival: Mid-Autumn Feast” was recently held in Rushan Silver Beach. New residents of Rushan Silver Beach gathered together to enjoy the holiday in a spirit of camaraderie. The event featured over 170 round tables, with more than 2,000 homeowners from across the country gathering to experience the romance of “the bright moon rising over the sea, shared by all at this moment.”

Dishes such as Mapo Tofu, Braised Pork with Preserved Vegetables, and Sweet and Sour Carp were served, all prepared by the community residents showcasing their hometown specialties. The annual Mid-Autumn Banquet officially commenced amidst the joyful anticipation and laughter of the attendees. “This is the sixth year we have held this event. The harmony among neighbors makes us feel like family. This is my second hometown, and I love the Silver Beach,” said Ms. Liu, a homeowner from Sichuan, who participates every year, sharing her signature Sichuan dishes with everyone while enjoying the festivities.

Delicious food welcomes new friends, while songs and dances convey heartfelt sentiments. To enhance the joyful atmosphere of the event, artistic residents voluntarily organized a cultural performance. Uplifting songs, captivating dances, and elegant fashion shows captivated the audience, eliciting rounds of applause. As the emotions ran high, audience members could not help but join in singing along.

This year, Rushan City has organized various units and new era civilization practice centers to promote warmth during the Mid-Autumn Festival, foster friendships through cultural exchange, and advocate for new customs. They actively launched nine themed activities, including the Mid-Autumn Neighborhood Festival, Mid-Autumn Health Promotion, and Mid-Autumn Reading Club, to enrich the cultural lives of the community and elevate the city’s spiritual civilization to new heights.
