In recent days, a group of international renowned media journalists and photographers visited the romantic city of Dalian, where they embarked on boat rides to experience the charm of the Oriental Water City. At the Haichang Oriental Water City, the visitors rejoiced in their walk amid the majestic buildings, and reveled in a dreamy ambience as if they were teleported to Venice. While awed by the unique charms of East-West cultural fusion, they also relaxed in the slow pace of life here.

Inside EX Future Science and Technology Museum in Jinshitan, the life-like appearances and nimble movements of intelligent androids thrust the visiting delegation into an immersive experience summed up as “every scenario has its story.” The visitors opined that the Chinese robotics industry has risen to a world-leading level, and expressed their belief about the immense potentials when intelligent technologies and language models are combined.

Other than cultural landscapes, Dalian’s natural sceneries are also noteworthy, and the homestay economy that emerged from this environment arose as one of the highlights of this trip. The visitors toured homestay clusters on islands like Mayi Island’s A Lan Nuo Homestay and Fishermen’s Eco Homestay to experience the special charisma of these seaside establishments.

During the span of the May Day holiday, data shows that the culture and tourism authorities of Dalian rolled out more than 80 cultural and tourism events and specially introduced 15 springtime travel routes based on the theme of “encounter Dalian and springtime mountains and seas”, which were designed based on the city’s positioning and local characteristics with the aim of satisfying those eager to “fall in love” with this romantic city.
