Dongchang Gourds Displayed at Shandong Culture and Tourism Promotion Conference in Malaysia

On Sept. 25, the “Hometown of Confucius, Friendly Shandong” Culture and Tourism Promotion Conference & “Mid-Autumn Festival: A Moonment to Remember” Performance were held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. During the conference, two travel influencers from Southeast Asia shared their personal travel experiences in Shandong with Malaysian guests from various sectors, praising the province’s tourism offerings.

 

Under the framework of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s global brand campaign “Mid-Autumn Festival: A Moonment to Remember”, artists from the Shandong Opera and Dance Drama Theater and other provincial troupes collaborated with Malaysian performers to present a captivating cultural show. The event also featured live demonstrations of distinctive intangible cultural heritage items, including Qufu Kaimu carving, Dongchang gourd, Nishan inkstone, and Lu-style inner painting, attracting both Chinese and international guests to pause, appreciate, and experience them.
