Dongming: “Capturing Childlike Charm, Impressions of the Chinese Dream”

To promote the excellent traditional Chinese culture, exhibit the charm of intangible cultural heritage and achieve resonance between civilization and traditional culture, recently, the Library of the New Era Civilization Practice Center of Dongming County, Heze, Shandong has held a volunteer service event with the theme of "Capturing Childlike Charm, Impressions of the Chinese Dream" to promote the rubbing technique and foster inheritors of traditional culture.

At the site, volunteers explained related knowledge of rubbing from such aspects as its origin, development history and main steps and showed various rubbing pictures to the kids.

Subsequently, volunteers provided detailed step-by-step instructions on paper covering, rubbing, and coloring. Following the guidance and assistance of the volunteers, everyone commenced the rubbing process. The students executed the techniques with precision, resulting in vibrant and vivid artworks coming to life on the paper.

During the rubbing experience activity, students not only gained insights into the art of rubbing and experienced the allure of traditional culture but also honed their focus and hands-on skills. In the upcoming phase, Dongming County will further leverage its role as a hub for civilized practices, coordinating resources to explore new models and seek continuous innovation. This effort aims to support volunteer services and contribute to making urban and rural grassroots more vibrant and enthusiastic.
