On June 8, the “Ship of Art” Adora Mediterranea set sail with nearly 2,600 passengers, launching an international cruise route to Japan and South Korea, marking the official start of the 2025 cruise season in Tianjin, according to the Tianjin Dongjiang bonded area.

Recently, Adora Mediterranea, owned by Adora Cruises, returned to the Tianjin International Cruise Home Port located in the port city’s Dongjiang bonded area. It will operate from Tianjin and offer more than ten 6-day, 5-night international cruise itineraries. Meanwhile, on August 7, the ship will launch a 12-day, 11-night long summer cruise to Hokkaido.

During the launch ceremony of the cruise season, Adora Cruises announced its deployment plan for the Tianjin route for 2026-2027. According to the plan, from June to October 2026, Adora Mediterranea will operate 24 international cruise voyages to Japan and South Korea from Tianjin as the home port.

In 2027, Adora Cruises will increase its investment, with plans to launch the first domestically produced large cruise ship, Adora Magic City, in Tianjin from April to October for a six-month sailing season.

Additionally, Adora Mediterranea is set to commence its winter season in Tianjin from January to March 2027. Together, Adora Magic City and Adora Mediterranea are expected to operate over 50 voyages in Tianjin throughout the year.

As a flagship enterprise in China’s cruise industry, Adora Cruises has been actively engaging in the domestic market, with its two large ships — Adora Magic City and Adora Mediterranea — having collectively hosted nearly 700,000 domestic and international travelers.
