On Oct. 29, the “Opportunity China, Charm Jinan” foreign media tour in Shandong visited the Jinan Start-up Area for Growth Drivers Transformation. In this highly anticipated “City of the Future,” participants experienced firsthand the innovative concepts and developmental vitality brought by China-Singapore cooperation.

At the Quehua Sino-Singapore Park, the media group visited the Greenhouse Garden Exploration Experience Hall, operated by Singapore’s Keppel team and designed under the direction of He Fang, a master of engineering survey and design in China. This 27,600-square-meter ecological space draws significant inspiration from the design concepts of Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay and Changi Airport, skillfully blending Nanyang (Southeast Asian) greenery, artistic rockeries, and elegant arched bridges to create a unique atmosphere described as “Stepping into Summer, Full of Novelty.” A majestic 14-meter-high waterfall inside the hall, inspired by the poetic line “The Yellow River’s waters seem to pour from the heavens,” stands as an aesthetic symbol of Sino-Singapore ecological cooperation.
The park features diverse attractions such as cultural and creative marketplaces, multifunctional theaters, and interactive spaces like digital museums and VR experience centers – all enhancing the urban “micro-vacation” experience through technology.

During the eight-day National Day holiday this October, the project attracted a total of 240,000 visitors, demonstrating its strong appeal. Quehua Sino-Singapore Park has not only provided Jinan residents with high-quality leisure spaces but has also become a vital demonstration of ecological development and international cooperation within the Start-up Area.
From Sino-Singapore collaborative projects that leverage international expertise to ecological practices that integrate Yellow River culture with modern design principles, the Jinan Start-up Area is openly and inclusively sketching a new-era picture of its own “Autumn Scenery on Quehua Mountain.” On this vibrant land, innovation-driven development and green growth go hand in hand, accelerating the rise of a dynamic “City of the Future.”
