Ji’nan to hold the 2022 Dialogue Sessions for Executives from Multinational Corporations (Ji’nan) & the 2nd China-Japan Industrial Innovation and Development Exchange Conference
JINAN, ChinaThe 2022 Dialogue Sessions for Executives from Multinational Corporations (Ji’nan) & the 2nd China-Japan Industrial Innovation and Development Exchange Conference will be held in Ji’nan, the capital of Shandong Province, from July 28 to 29. Shandong has close economic and trade ties with Japan. In China, it ranks second in population and third in economic activity. As Shandong’s capital city, Ji’nan is the economic, cultural, technological, educational, and financial center; it is also in the center of the Yellow River Basin.
According to the Ji’nan Investment Promotion Bureau, the event will be jointly hosted by the People’s Government of Ji’nan, the Investment Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Commerce, and the Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce. It aims to facilitate practical-oriented exchange and cooperation with Japanese multinational corporations, well-known companies, and international business organizations in areas such as health, modern agriculture, and smart manufacturing. Nearly 20 Fortune 500 companies and many other industry-leading businesses and major organizations like the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Japan-China Investment Promotion Organization (JCIPO), and the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China will also be in attendance.
During the event, the organizers will hold several (“1+3+N”) major activities. “1” represents a themed activity with a view to promoting new opportunities for cooperation between Ji’nan and Japan. There will be signing ceremonies for key projects and an appointment ceremony of economic advisors for Ji’nan and Japan. “3” represents three parallel forums on key industries such as health, modern agriculture, and intelligent manufacturing. “N” represents several precise thematic activities as requested by attendees, such as key customer meetings, visits to development zones, districts, and counties, small salons, and tea parties.
Over the next 3-5 years Ji’nan plans to build up the conference into a high-profile event in China for attracting investment and facilitating cooperation with Japan so as to elevate China-Japan industry cooperation to a higher level, and hopes to see representatives from all sectors of Japan coming to learn about and invest in Ji’nan in order to open up a broader space for cooperation.
