Linshu: Villagers Hold Evening Party to Celebrate Chinese New Year

During the Spring Festival, the air in Linshu County, Linyi, was rich with festive cheer. In each village, residents adorned their homes with colorful lanterns and decorations to mark the Chinese New Year.

In Jiaolong Town of Linshu, the hustle and bustle of rehearsals filled the air as performers poured their energy into perfecting their dance moves and vocal performances. They strove to deliver their best performances, fine-tuning every detail under the careful guidance of instructors. The result? A mesmerizing display of dance, song, and opera, leaving villagers eagerly anticipating the upcoming village party.

At Zhengshan Sub-district, the party kicked off with a dance performance by the children, setting the stage for an evening filled with joy and celebration. Seventeen captivating acts, including traditional folk performances like the yangko dance, delighted the audience and provided a cultural experience brimming with the essence of the Chinese New Year and hometown flavors, earning thunderous applause from the villagers.

Holding an evening party has gradually become a cherished tradition in every village of Linshu County. These community-led events, filled with the rich flavors of the Chinese New Year, local customs, and cultural essence, resonate with heartfelt wishes for a brighter future. They not only enrich the villagers’ spiritual and cultural lives but also illuminate the cultural landscape of the community, fostering a sense of unity and pride among the people.
