Luozhuang District: Raspberry Industry

LINYI, China

In the Luozhuang District of Linyi City, Shandong Province, it took two years to study the growth conditions and industrial development of raspberries. Following site selection, seedling selection, planting, management, and cultivation, over 150 acres of raspberries have taken root and begun to grow in the Luozhuang District, setting a model for the "northern fruit transplanted to the south."

Raspberry is a kind of perennial deciduous shrub fruit tree belonging to the Rubus genre of Rosaceae family. It comes in various colors, such as red, black, yellow and purple, and boasts a delicious flavor with a subtle balance of sweetness and sourness, along with a strong fruit aroma, making it an excellent dietary supplement. Large areas of the fruit are grown in northern provinces such as the three provinces of Northeast China, Hebei and Inner Mongolia. The products are sold to countries and regions such as Europe, America, Russia and South Korea. At present, more than 150 mu of raspberry trees are grown in the Luozhuang District of Linyi, yielding a comprehensive benefit of 5,000 – 10,000 yuan per mu, laying a solid foundation for promoting agricultural growth in the district.
