Moon Bay Lighthouse Illuminates Silver Beach’s Night in Rushan, Shandong

The newly illuminated Moon Bay Lighthouse in Rushan, Shandong, has officially opened. This new urban lifestyle destination aims to enrich the cultural and tourism offerings of the Binhai New Area, injecting fresh vitality into Rushan’s development as a premier coastal retreat. On its opening night, the 33-meter-tall lighthouse was bathed in light, coinciding with the debut of the “Myriad Wonders of Mountains and Seas” city light show. The dazzling illumination and spectacular fireworks lit up the entire bay, setting the evening ablaze with excitement.

 

Not just a scenic backdrop for photos, the Moon Bay Lighthouse also serves as a functional space. The newly launched International ART Island, designed as a “civic architecture” for public enjoyment, is anchored by the lighthouse’s adjacent “Moon Boat” structure. This vibrant hub integrates six distinct functional zones, i.e., the Art Drifting Island, Oguo Market, Island Coffee, Star Island Bar, M-Cat Space, and a Mobile Marriage Registration Point. Together, they create a high-quality urban lifestyle space that seamlessly connects city living with coastal beauty. As a cornerstone of the International ART Island, the Art Drifting Island regularly hosts renowned global art IPs and exhibitions, providing a premier platform for cultural exchange.

 

The opening of the Moon Bay Lighthouse Leisure Park and the International ART Island marks a significant milestone in Rushan’s strategy to integrate culture, commerce, and tourism, thereby stimulating the coastal economy. It also signals a new phase of upgraded tourism offerings and enhanced experiential scenarios in Silver Beach.

 

Supported by the Moon Bay Lighthouse project, Rushan Binhai New Area planned the Moon Bay Lighthouse Cultural and Tourism Leisure Zone this year. This zone aims to build a coastal cultural and tourism destination integrating scenic viewing, art experiences, cultural relaxation, and light shows. It also caters to the consumption needs of young people from Shandong Vocational University of Foreign Affairs to create a full-chain consumption scenario. This initiative continues to expand a vibrant consumer district that blends coastal charm with youthful energy.

 

Meanwhile, the Binhai New Area continues to diversify its cultural and tourism offerings.
