Shandong’s Feixian County Revitalizes Cultural Tourism with Human Touch

Improvements in accommodation and transportation reflect the same philosophy. Homestays at the foot of Mengshan Mountain emphasize a “home” experience, while road repairs and expanded networks cater to self-driving tourists. Local culinary offerings allow visitors to savor authentic regional flavors. These upgrades, though understated, offer tourists care precisely when they need it.

 

In response to diverse market demands, Feixian County has revitalized existing resources through “soft rejuvenation,” breaking down barriers and integrating varied tourism formats. Interactive initiatives, such as “free admission for folk ballad performances,” and hands-on intangible cultural heritage experiences like fabric-pounding craft workshops in the Strange Stone Cultural Park, have transformed culture into tangible memories that visitors can take home.

 

From thoughtful hardware refinements to diversified content innovation and culturally rich services, the county’s tourism revitalization consistently centers on the “visitor experience.” Here, tourists are no longer mere spectators but active participants in their journey; scenic areas are not just sightseeing spots but living spaces worth cherishing and revisiting.
