Shanxi exported more than 150 billion kWh of electricity in 2023

In 2023, the exported electricity from Shanxi’s power grid reached 157.598 billion kWh, an increase of 11.223 billion kWh year-on-year, and reached the 150 billion kWh for the first time, entering the national leading level.

In order to continuously expand the external power transmission market, State Grid Shanxi Electric Power Company actively and continuously expanded the scale of the external power transmission market, communicated and negotiated with the recipient provinces, and expanded the number of external power transmission provinces to 23. Actively served the “double-carbon” goals, the annual new energy delivery reached 8.862 billion kWh, an increase of 6.51%. The green electricity trading reached 2.311 billion kWh, ranking first among provinces which supply green electricity. State Grid Shanxi will build up the basic delivery market in advance, communicate with the recipient provinces, promote the signing of agreements between governments, and implement the external power transmission plan of 57.019 billion kWh in 2024.

At present, Shanxi Power Grid has connected the three major regions of North China, East China and Central China, and has become the meeting point of the trans-regional power transmission line of “power transmission from west to east”, “power transmission from north to south” and UHV “three connections and four direct connections”.
