TAIYUAN, China, Sept. 30, 2024 /Xinhua-AsiaNet/–

The photovoltaic output of Shanxi power grid Recently exceeded 20 million kilowatts for the first time, reaching 20.437 million kilowatts, a record high. And the photovoltaic output accounted for 63.9% of the power load of Shanxi Province at that time.

In recent years, State Grid Shanxi Electric Power Company has strengthened the research on new energy power generation and power grid load characteristics, focusing on meteorological, security, control, economic and other factors that need to be considered in power grid operation, optimizing the prediction model, improving the prediction accuracy of the power grid load and new energy output, and strengthening the construction of new energy convergence channels; at the same time, relying on the power market to promote the efficient utilization of new energy. Up to now, the installed capacity of new energy in Shanxi power grid has reached 55.051 million kilowatts, of which the installed capacity of photovoltaic has reached 29.555 million kilowatts, accounting for 25.1% of the total installed capacity.

The State grid Shanxi Electric Power Company will continue to strengthen grid-connected consumption of large-scale wind and solar base and the construction of external transmission channels, boost the development of new energy storage, and improve the power grids acceptance, allocation and regulation capacity of clean energy.
