Slogan, Emblem, and Mascot of the 9th Asian Winter Games in 2025 Officially Unveiled

On January 11, 2024, at the unveiling ceremony of the slogan, emblem, and mascot for the 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin, the slogan "Dream of Winter, Love among Asia," the emblem "Beyond," and the mascots "Binbin" and "Nini" were officially revealed. This also signifies a new milestone in the preparations for the 9th Asian Winter Games in 2025.

The slogan "Dream of Winter, Love among Asia" for this edition of the Asian Winter Games was created by Shi Ning and Sun Yifan. The slogan connects Asian countries through the concept of "ice and snow," creating new opportunities for the ice and snow economy and promoting cultural exchanges among Asian countries and countries along the Belt and Road. It closely relates the ideas of "dreaming together" and "unity" with the "Chinese Dream," using the Asian Winter Games as a bond to promote cooperation and development among Asian countries.

The emblem "Beyond" for the 9th Asian Winter Games in 2025 was created by a team from the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University. The design incorporates elements such as the sprinting posture of a short-track speed skater, the lilac flower (the municipal flower of Harbin), and the sun symbol of the Olympic Council of Asia. By combining Chinese culture with Olympic elements, the emblem represents China's commitment to becoming a sports powerhouse in the new era, constantly challenging higher, faster, and stronger goals, and making new contributions to winter sports in Asia.

The mascots for the games, the Northeast Tigers "Binbin" and "Nini," were also designed by a team from the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University. "Binbin" and "Nini" are based on two adorable young Northeast Tigers born in September 2023 in the Northeast Tiger Park in Heilongjiang. They symbolize "Harbin welcomes you" and anthropomorphize the unique natural and cultural heritage of the Northeast region, blending it with the Olympic spirit to showcase cultural confidence, inspire cultural vitality.

The slogan, emblem, and mascot collection for the 9th Asian Winter Games received significant attention both domestically and internationally. Since the global call for submissions was announced on September 19, 2023, the total exposure of relevant information on the internet has exceeded 520 million, covering over 30 countries and regions. During the submission period, a total of 4,608 valid entries were received from home and overseas, including 3,518 slogan designs, 760 emblem designs, and 330 mascot designs.
