Directed Technologies expands Southeast Asia footprint through acquisition of GPS2GO Thailand

Australia

Australia, Jun.03, 2026 / Medianet – AsiaNet / —

Directed Technologies has announced the strategic acquisition of GPS2GO, a leading telematics provider based in Thailand, strengthening its presence in Southeast Asia as part of its regional expansion strategy.

The acquisition establishes a stronger local operating base in Thailand, supported by an established customer and partner network, a government-approved technology solution, and a highly experienced team on the ground. It also builds on Directed’s existing footprint in the market, where customer support, analytics and sales capabilities are already in place.

Thailand plays a critical role in the global automotive supply chain, particularly as a major manufacturing hub for trucks, passenger vehicles and commercial utility vehicles. Many of Directed’s customers operate manufacturing facilities in the region, making a local presence increasingly important to support both OEM and aftermarket programs.

As part of the integration, Hataichanok Leerahathon will take up the role of General Manager GPS2GO, alongside her Country Manager, Directed Technologies Thailand role, ensuring continuity for customers and partners, while supporting the next phase of growth under Directed Technologies.

“This is not just about expanding into Southeast Asia, it’s about strengthening our ability to support customers with on-the-ground capability in one of the region’s most important automotive markets,” said Steve Siolis, CEO, Directed Technologies. “Through GPS2GO, we are combining deep local expertise with our global platform to deliver connected vehicle solutions for OEMs and enterprise customers operating across the region.”

“This marks the next phase of growth for GPS2GO, allowing us to extend our local expertise beyond Thailand and support customers across Southeast Asia,” said Hataichanok Leerahathon, General Manager at GPS2GO. “By combining our in-market knowledge with Directed Technologies’ global platform, we are well positioned to deliver solutions that are tailored to local requirements while maintaining a strong global foundation.”

The acquisition also provides a platform to scale Directed Technologies’ e.things ecosystem further across the ASEAN region. Directed Technologies’ e.things platform brings together telematics, IoT hardware, connectivity and cloud-based data intelligence into a unified operating environment, supporting OEM programs, fleet management and an expanding ecosystem of applications.

With operations across Asia-Pacific, Europe, Africa and the Americas, Directed Technologies continues to expand its global footprint through targeted acquisitions and partnerships, building a more integrated and adaptable platform for connected mobility across key international markets.
